Totally Trivial was a show presented by Henry Kelly, and filmed in Manchester (in the Dinnerladies universe), which offered a top prize of £10,000. While staying with her sister, Jean decided to sign Bren up for it - while under the influence of Prozac - and Bren wins the penultimate prize plus the opportunity to return for the chance to win the top prize. Unfortunately, with her mother's deteriorating condition in hospital, she missed the opportunity but received £500.
